Hotel Catalonia Diagonal Centro
Carrer de Balmes 142
Barcelona Spain 08008
The fantastic Catalonia Diagonal Centro hotel, located in the heart of the modernist route and next to the Paseo de Gracia , is surrounded by the most beautiful modernist architecture and the most representative buildings of Gaudí's work.
The location of the Catalonia Diagonal Centro hotel allows you to be one step away from the best shopping area and live the Mediterranean city up close. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Paseo de Gracia , the most luxurious shopping street in Barcelona, with stores of great brands and the Pedrera-Casa Mila de Gaudí inspired by the shape of nature and a must-see tourist place. The Catalonia Diagonal Centro hotel is also very close to the center of Plaza Cataluña, 4 minutes by train from the Provence stop.
Did you know that these three modernist buildings, Casa Amatller, Casa Batlló and Casa Lleó Morera together with two more houses form the well-known La apple de la discordia? This is because of the rivalry between the best known modernist artists: Domènech i Montaner, Puig i Cadafalch and Antoni Gaudí.
