Arrival

By Train

Barcelona Sants is Barcelona's largest railway station and the city's most important transport hub. Being Barcelona's main train station, it provides service both in and around the city, as well as for the whole of Spain and beyond (including by high-speed train)

By Aeroplane

Most travellers enter Barcelona through El Prat airport which is the main airport of Catalonia and only 14 Km from the city centre. The other important airport in Catalonia is Girona -Costa Brava airport located at a distance of 100 kilometers northeast of Barcelona and serviced by budget airlines. 

Barcelona - El Prat Airport Transport to City Centre by Public Transport

There are several types of public transportation to the city: Metro, Bus or Train services.

Aerobús is the fastest way to reach Barcelona city centre with public transport. There are two lines that connect T1 and T2 with Plaça Catalunya. MORE INFO.

The metro connects both terminals of the Airport with the Barcelona metro network.
The line is called L9 Sud. There are stops at T1 (inside the building) and T2 (outside the building, next to train station), in both cases follow the signs.  MORE INFO.

Barcelona - El Prat Airport Transport to City Centre by Taxi

A taxi from Barcelona El Prat airport into Barcelona city centre varies according to your departure terminal and your destination. The cost will be around €35-€40.

The dress code for the Course will be casual attire.  The weather is likely to be mild.

Currency

The Euro € is the accepted currency in Spain.

ATMs are found everywhere. Many smaller stores only accept cash. Most restaurants accept credit cards, but we recommend you ask them in advance to avoid surprises.
 

Electricity

For Spain there are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Spain operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
